January marked one year since I traveled to Tanzania. Between the intense equatorial heat and relentless bouts of traveler’s sickness, I didn’t fully realize how much I would miss this incredible country. I remember the red bananas bought from our jeep as we passed a market, a coffee pot sitting on the morning embers of the fire, and the rare cold soda we could find to escape the heat. I miss the warm and inviting people who love to laugh, the wildlife safaris into the river valleys and Serengeti Plains, and discussions about conservation and humanity around the evening campfire.
I’ll think about Tanzania every day for the rest of my life. It truly was the adventure of a lifetime, and I only hope that someday, I can return.
For now, I have finally sorted through my video clips from the trip and have compiled my favorite wildlife sightings into a video. Enjoy!
Woah… You should send that to BBC and see if they will hire you for their Planet Earth series. Awesome video! Can’t imagine the amount of time spent working on that.
